MISSION STATEMENT


Legacy Lives On is a non-profit organization/ministry that provides continuous ongoing support to families that have been affected and have lost loved ones to homicide or street violence. Legacy Lives On promotes positive change, education and healing for families in many communities around us. 


We focus on building positive relationships and bringing awareness to families affected by violence. Our goal is to support one another and to help manage the many emotions and concerns around what has happened to our loved ones. Legacy Lives On helps families to cope with the aftermath of a loss. We comfort one another, we share our stories, we grow from our struggles, we heal from our pain and we work together to move forward.

WE DIDN'T KNOW

We didn’t know that morning,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we do the same. 

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

Our family chain is broken.
And nothings seems the same.
We're learning to find comfort,
In saying your name
 

You left us beautiful memories.
Your love is still our guide.
And though we can no longer see you,
We know you are always by our side.
